New Year, Same Me

I would like to apologise for my absence lately as I have been off home to Vienna to spend some much needed time with my family and friends over Christmas! But now with the first week back at work over and done with, I am ready for 2016!

However as much as I hate looking back in life, 2015 has been a great year too! To sum it up, I graduated from my MSc, I got a job that I love and was also fortunate enough to have met some crazy cool people. Last year I also pushed myself to start this blog and since that moment it has been brilliant, ironically I find myself in a position now caring less about the opinions of others than I initially thought. I realised through this beautiful process that I was doing this because I love sharing my thoughts and ideas with others.

In the last couple weeks I have read countless posts about the new year, some about the merits of the previous year, others with resolutions for the next and yet here I remain with a few thoughts, mainly confused as to what 2016 may hold for me. In between all the rush of my short trip home I managed to watch 'Lost in Translation' and a Bill Murray line seems to have stuck in my head ever since.

Bob: You'll figure that out. The more you know who you are, and what you want, the less you let things upset you."

As the curtain falls

It's my last weekend in Cardiff this year before I head home and that naturally has put me on reflection mode. Like everyone else I have had a year full of ups and downs, but what's important is to make sure to end the year on a high note and you my lovely readers have helped me with this, so a big thank you to you!

6 Cardiff Food Situations

One of the most common things people say to me after they view my Instagram is ask where my favourite food places are around Cardiff.  What I love about this city is that it has always provided me with a good place to eat for every occasion which I now would love to share with you! Those of you who know me know that much like how a mother can't differentiate her children, the same I feel about my favourite food places in every city, this just comes from the fact that I am more of a loyally returning customer than a experimenter. Hence I would like to say before I start, that my ranking here is solely for the purpose of an order rather than my satisfaction level.

In Brød we trust

One of the things that I vowed to myself when I first started work a couple years ago was that I would make the conscious effort atleast once a year to go abroad and discover new lands. Early last month I managed to make a wonderful trip across the continent to Copenhagen. In short I loved everything about it, the extremely naturally beautiful folk, the dark colour fashion and obviously the food!
